Additional Indoor and Outdoor Spaces
The Science History Institute has additional spaces, including the Jacobs Reading Room, the Dow Public Square, an outdoor courtyard (with approximately 4,500 square feet of space that can be tented), and a parking lot. Separate costs for these spaces are applicable and based on availability.
The Jacobs Reading Room is situated within the Donald F. and Mildred Topp Othmer Library of Chemical History. Founded in 1988, the Othmer Library preserves the history of chemistry and related sciences, technologies, and industries, serving as an unparalleled resource for researchers. The Dow Public Square is a grand hall and more contemporary event space that is adjacent to the Jacobs Reading Room. Both of these spaces are available for evening events and can accommodate up to 300 people each.
