Heritage Day is the Science History Institute’s annual celebration of the achievements and promise of the sciences and technologies that shape material culture and innovation.

Festivities will include the presentation of the following awards:

  • Othmer Gold Medal
    The Othmer Gold Medal honors outstanding individuals who have made multifaceted contributions to our chemical and scientific heritage through outstanding activity in such areas as innovation, entrepreneurship, research, education, public understanding, legislation, and philanthropy.
     
  • Richard J. Bolte Sr. Award for Supporting Industries
    The Bolte Award recognizes outstanding contributions by a leader who provides products or services vital to the continuing growth and development of the chemical and molecular sciences community.
     
  • American Institute of Chemists Gold Medal
    The AIC Gold Medal recognizes service to the science of chemistry and to the profession of chemist or chemical engineer in the United States.
