Just like Flourish and Blotts in the Harry Potter series, the Othmer Library can provide books on everyone’s favorite magical subjects. Wizard classes covered at our pop-up event: herbology, potions, history of magic, divination, and, of course, defense against the dark arts. Explore rare books, and make a wizarding-inspired bookmark to take home.
Library Pop-Ups offer visitors an opportunity to see the books and archives researchers travel around the world to investigate at the Science History Institute. Held in our museum between 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. on the second Friday of each month, our librarians and curators from the Othmer Library will share highlights from our collections through fun, theme-oriented activities and programs.
This event is free, and no registration is required. For more information contact Alexis Pedrick at 215.873.8293 or apedrick@sciencehistory.org.
