This free event is part of the Philadelphia Science Festival taking place April 26 through May 4.

There is so much science to celebrate in the birthplace of our country! Attendees can explore the connection between history and science at Independence National Historical Park.

Be sure to visit the Science History Institute’s display, where you can see how the periodic table of chemical elements evolved over time. Solve jigsaw puzzles showing alternate layouts of the periodic table, and learn some fascinating history. Activities are geared to a fourth- and fifth-grade audience.

The Philadelphia Science Festival is a communitywide celebration of science, featuring lectures, debates, hands-on activities, special exhibitions, and a variety of other informal science education experiences for Philadelphians of all ages.

This event is also presented in celebration of the International Year of the Periodic Table.
