The Why: A Camera, a Mask, and 2020’s Most Enduring Image

WHYY’s podcast talks to photographer Kyle Cassidy and some of the essential workers featured in our ‘Between Us and Catastrophe’ outdoor exhibition.

WHYY podcast The Why sat down with Philadelphia photographer Kyle Cassidy to talk about his portraits of essential workers that are part of the Institute’s new outdoor exhibition Between Us and Catastrophe. The episode also features some of the people pictured in the large-scale photos, which are installed on the exterior of our building at 315 Chestnut Street in Old City Philadelphia. The exhibition is on view through spring 2021.
