Anna Gasha

Anna Gasha researches the existing and historic built environment in relation to the climate crisis and natural hazards. She earned her PhD in Historic Preservation at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation. Anna also holds an ScB in Materials Engineering and a BA in History of Art and Architecture from Brown University and an MS in Structural Engineering from University of California, Berkeley. Her project at the Science History Institute will examine the Robert H. Socolow Papers to study the early scientific research and knowledge production about the energy use of existing buildings by Princeton University’s Center for Energy and Environmental Studies.
