Elisabeth Zafiris

Elisabeth Zafiris joined the Science History Institute as the museum education manager in 2025. In this role she oversees the museum’s gallery operations and educational programming. She loves taking an audience-centered approach to interpreting the museum’s collections and bringing the history of the sciences into modern relevance.

Prior to joining the Institute, she worked in the education departments of the Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education and the Independence Seaport Museum, as well as a middle school science and math teacher. She earned a bachelor of science degree in animal science from the University of Tennessee and a master of arts in teaching in museum education from George Washington University.
