Jessica Martucci is a research fellow in the Science History Institute’s Center for Oral History where she leads the Science and Disability project. She also holds a fellowship in advanced bioethics in the Department of Medical Ethics and Health Policy at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. She earned her PhD in the history and sociology of science from the University of Pennsylvania in 2011 and went on to teach women’s history and the history of science, technology, and medicine at Mississippi State University until 2015. In 2015 Martucci published her first book, Back to the Breast: Natural Motherhood and Breastfeeding in America, with the University of Chicago Press.
