Melanie Nilsson

Melanie R Nilsson, associate professor of chemistry at McDaniel College, is a researcher-educator-activist committed to social responsibility and interdisciplinary collaboration. Nilsson conducted biochemical research on the causes and treatments of Type 2 Diabetes for over 20 years, and now their work focuses on improving diversity, equity, and inclusion within the STEM disciplines and beyond.
