
Merdad Momadi
Philanthropy Manager
Merdad Momadi joined the Science History Institute’s development team in 2025 as Philanthropy Manager.
He brings experience from the University of California, San Francisco, where he completed a fellowship in tobacco research. Merdad founded both a nonprofit organization and a medical device company in Tehran, where he led stakeholder engagement across the public and private sectors. His research and public health work have been supported by grants from the World Health Organization, the Iranian National Institute of Health, and Cancer Institute, with a focus on non-communicable diseases control.
Merdad holds a doctor of medicine and a master of public health from Tehran University of Medical Sciences, as well as a master of arts in public international law from Tufts University.
