Supporting Our Mission
The Science History Institute stands at the intersection of science and society. With your support we can continue telling the stories of scientific discovery.

Museum and Programs
Our exhibitions and programs inspire visitors to explore the history of chemistry, the life sciences, and engineering. We produce and host a wide range of programs and events for scientists and the scientifically curious public. Discover great stories of science and the women and men behind them.

Collections
Our vast collections of scientific instruments and artifacts, rare books, fine art, photographs, oral histories, and archives dazzle the eye and stimulate the mind. Collections also support the Institute’s exhibition program and other programming initiatives that bring this history to a scientifically curious public.

Othmer Library
The Donald F. and Mildred Topp Othmer Library of Chemical History is an independent research library encompassing the history of chemistry and related sciences and industries. The vast holdings of the Othmer Library are available to research staff, fellows, and others to support research for scholarly publications or public history projects.
