Summer has finally arrived, and we have a lot to celebrate here in Philadelphia: the Semiquincentennial of the United States, the FIFA World Cup, AND the All-Star Game! Join us in the museum to delight in all the joy the summer season will bring!

Saturday’s fun, interactive activities are designed for science lovers of all ages. Phew! It is getting hot out there, so this week we are hitting the pool. Join us at our handling collection table to learn about the history and science of bathing suits.

Stop by our Object Explorer touch table to learn about the science behind everyday items like refrigerators and LED light bulbs. Chat with our experienced Gallery Guides to find out more about the people responsible for the science embedded in our daily lives.

During your visit, you can also check out our themed “drop-in” tours at 11:30am and 2pm.

Stories of Science takes place weekly on Saturdays. Admission is free and reservations are not required.
