Save the date for Philly Fair 250, a multiday extravaganza celebrating America’s 250th birthday!

Visit the Science History Institute’s pop-up museum, where we’ll be showcasing our new Flash! Bang! Boom! A History of Fireworks exhibition with family-friendly activities and hands-on experiences. Stay after dark on both days for dazzling fireworks displays presented in partnership with Wawa Welcome America. The first night will transport you back in time with a historically inspired show featuring the dramatic pyrotechnic burning of a temporary architectural structure, a form of entertainment that captivated crowds for centuries. The second night will trace the evolution of the art form, building from early techniques into the large-scale fireworks displays audiences know today.

Details to follow. Please check back soon!

Philly Fair 250 is FREE and open to all ages. No reservations are necessary.
