The Science History Institute is led by President and CEO Robert G. W. Anderson, who works closely with the Board of Directors, Board of Overseers, Heritage Council, and senior leadership to fulfill the Institute’s commitment to making our scientific past accessible to all.
Robert G. W. Anderson
President and CEO
Robert G. W. Anderson is the Institute’s president and CEO, a role he has held since 2017. He was instrumental in guiding the transformation of the Chemical Heritage Foundation into the Science History Institute in February 2018. The former director of the British Museum was previously interim president and has been a board member since 2006.
Richard J. Bolte Jr.
Chair, Board of Directors
Richard J. Bolte Jr. is chair of the Institute’s board of directors, serving as a liaison with management and providing counsel to the president. Bolte, who is chairman and CEO of global logistics and tranporation services company BDP International, was elected as board chair on July 1, 2018.
