Taylor Bailey
Cain Curatorial Fellow
Taylor Bailey is an environmental historian and historian of science of the United States, with a focus on the history of wildlife conservation and the science of wildlife management. In 2026 he completed his PhD at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he wrote a dissertation on the origins of wildlife restoration practices in 19th-century America. He is looking forward to honing his public history skills as a curatorial fellow at the Science History Institute and building a career in the museum field. He currently serves as coeditor of the Institute’s collections blog.
