Essential Elements - Air
Episode 4 of Essential Elements. Today’s episode is about air and how the gases in it have been changing since Day 1.
This week we continue our first series within Distillations. In this 4-part series we are looking at the four classical elements, one per show—earth, air, water, and fire. Today’s episode is about air. Probably one of the least thought about elements in our day-to-day lives, as it is ubiquitous and is both in and around us. First, we learn about the history of air. When and how did we figure out what “air” actually was? Then, producer Jim Burress tells us about volatile organic compounds, or VOCs, and how they affect the air we breathe.
